Ambulatory Microphlebectomy

What Is Ambulatory Microphlebectomy?

Ambulatory microphlebectomy involves making tiny, painless incisions where large bulging veins are visible. This procedure is performed with a local anesthetic that is used to numb the leg. Veins are carefully removed. There is no down time, patients may return to normal activity after the procedure. The benefit is that the visible superficial veins are removed immediately. DO NOT CONFUSE THIS PROCEDURE WITH VEIN STRIPPING- THIS IS OLD FASHION AND INFREQUENTLY PRACTICED BY PHYSICIANS WHO USE STATE OF THE ART VEIN TREATMENT.
